New To Valley Simsbury?

"Life Together, On Mission, For God's Glory "

First time to the website? First, watch this welcome video hosted by Rushika Heinle:

You're Invited: Welcome Dinner

Saturday, April 1, from 6:30-8 p.m. at a private home

Valley Simsbury's Welcome Dinner is open to anyone who's new to our church. The goal is to get to know you, make contacts, explain what we do as a church, and answer any questions you may have ... all over a lovely meal at a private home.

Our next Welcome Dinner is Saturday, April 1, from 6:30-8 p.m.

Valley Simsbury leaders and attenders will be there; we hope you will too! The Welcome Dinner is free, but you do need to sign up ahead of time. Just click below to reserve your spot. If you need more information or have questions, email Pastor Doug Christgau at

When and where do you worship?

Our worship services start at 10:45 a.m. every Sunday at Henry James Memorial School (155 Firetown Road in Simsbury). After parking in the main lot, just follow our signs to the Auditorium.

What happens at a worship service?

We're a very informal church! You'll be greeted warmly, and you should "come as you are" with regards to attire. Each worship service features a live band with contemporary praise music, an inspiring message, a time to pray together, and a surprise or two along the way!

What About My Kids?

We’re committed to multi-generational worship that includes all ages —children through adults. We believe all children should spend time in worship with their families, and then have the option to participate in age-appropriate breakout classes when available. Every Sunday, we offer a Nursery (ages 2 and under); a Pre-K/Kindergarten class; and an Elementary class (Grades 1-5). When you get to the service, bring your children to the Children’s Table to check in for class (look for the sign!), when service is over return to the table to check your child out. We also have a Cry Room.

What About the Preaching?

We are based in biblical teaching, with the priority to always be led by the Spirit. Our messages typically come from Valley Simsbury Pastor Mark Woof. Pastor Mark preaches on topical messages to teachings rooted in a specific book of the Bible.

What Happens After the Service?

We would love for you to stop by the Welcome Table (look for the sign!) to say hello and pick up a free welcome gift bag. We also have Community Connect Sundays where we gather together after service with a food truck or meal to get to know each other better.

What Happens During the Week?

Valley Simsbury has a strong passion for our community. There are opportunities throughout the week to connect with members of the church community. We offer what we call DNA groups for those who are seeking in-depth conversations based in God’s word within a smaller group setting. There’s also Neighbor Groups to get to know each other better in a family environment often over a meal.
