OUR motto
Life Together, On Mission, For God's Glory

Worship with Us

Our worship services start at 10 a.m. every Sunday at Henry James Memorial School (155 Firetown Road in Simsbury). After parking in the main lot, just follow our welcome flag to the Auditorium.

What to Expect

Valley Simsbury Church holds services in the brand-new auditorium at Henry James Memorial School. Attendees park at the main entrance of the school, where they are welcomed by volunteers in the main lobby. Our service includes live worship music by our contemporary band, an inspiring message, and a time to pray together. You will see attendees dressed as formal or informal as they like, from flip-flops to wingtips. After the service, attendees enjoy gathering in the lobby.

Just for Kids

At Valley Simsbury Church, children join their families and the congregation during the worship portion of the service. After about 15 minutes of live worship music, kids Grade 5 and under are invited to participate in one of our 4 age-appropriate classes. When the service is over, parents pick up their child(ren) in their classroom(s). On your first visit, please see a Welcome Team member before the start of the service to register your child(ren) for class. You are also welcome to accompany your child(ren) to meet their teacher(s). Regular attendees visit the green "Kids Check-In" table when they arrive at church. There, they can sign in on the iPad, print out their child's name tag, and take their pick-up sticker.

Preaching Style

Pastor Mark Woof's messages include a reading of the Bible, an exploration of the historical and narrative context of the verses, and examples of real-life application of the teaching. His messages conclude with memorable lessons and a moment of prayer. During both the preparation and delivery of his message, Pastor Mark listens closely to the Holy Spirit and prayerfully studies the Bible, allowing scripture to interpret scripture. Most sermon series explore a single book of the Bible for 4-14 weeks.

How to Connect

We would love for you to stop by the Welcome Table to say hello and pick up a welcome gift. We also have Community Connect Sundays where we gather together after service with a food truck or meal to get to know each other better.

During the Week

Valley Simsbury has a strong passion for our community. There are opportunities throughout the week to connect with members of the church community. We offer Men's and Women's groups for those who are seeking in-depth conversations based in God’s word within a smaller group setting. There’s also Neighbor Groups to get to know each other better in a family environment often over a meal.
