A Vibrant Future for Valley Simsbury Church

During the Valley Simsbury worship service Sunday, Pastor Mark Woof and Senior Pastor Rob O’Neal announced that the Elder Team of Valley Community Baptist Church has decided to plant Valley Simsbury as an independent church over the next few years.

Since its launch in 2017, Valley Simsbury has succeeded in developing its own unique culture, methods, strategies, and systems. In 2023, after months of deliberating, studying and praying, a Discernment Team – consisting of Pastor Mark and leaders from both locations – recommended Valley Simsbury should be planted as an independent church, and the Elders agreed. We hope to have Valley Simsbury launch with a new, public identity in the fall of 2024. The entire planning process, guided by a Launch Team, will continue on for some time before full independence.
