A Season of Blessing
Simsbury Food Pantry Drive
What it is: Buy a bag of groceries and goods to help stock the Simsbury Food Pantry for the holiday season! We'll also be asking the public to contribute at our "Simsbury Celebrates!" booth Nov. 30.
What to do: Click the button below to buy a $10 or $20 bag of food for the drive. We'll take care of the rest! Also, encourage friends and neighbors to check out the Valley Simsbury booth at "Simsbury Celebrates!"
Winter Hat & Gloves Drive
What it is: Give the warmth of the Christmas season by donating a new pair of gloves, and/or a winter hat to an elementary-age Hartford County student in need. Please ensure that gloves are “water-resistant,” so students can play in the snow during recess.
What to do: It's simple! Please drop off your donation of NEW gloves and hats at worship on Sunday or at 3 Mill Pond during the week. Click the button below to see a "wish list" on Amazon of the kinds of items that work best. We're also accepting "gently-used" snow pants and boots suitable for elementary-age children. We'll ensure they get directly to teachers in classrooms to distribute to kids in need of winter clothing basics.
All-Church Thanksgiving Offering
Our annual Thanksgiving Offering will benefit two groups: Our partners in the Middle East and North Africa who are providing relief for aid to those suffering from the many conflicts in the region; and pregnancy crisis centers in the Farmington Valley and throughout Connecticut. This offering is above and beyond your regular giving or tithing.
Make your Thanksgiving Offering by Nov. 26 by going to the Give page and selecting "Thanksgiving" from the "Fund" drop-down menu.
